“Protectors of Our Freedom”

By Stephen Alexander (co-authored by Dino M. Zaffina)

How soon Americans forget. Fortunately, there are still some patriots in Hollywood that want to pay tribute to some of the thousands of American heroes from that fateful day on September 11, 2001.

The movie United 93 will open in theaters on April 28, 2006. This movie is based on the United Airlines Flight 93 that was among the four planes hijacked as part of the 9/11, terrorist attack. It was the only one of the four planes that did not reach its intended target, instead crashing in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, about 150 miles northwest of Washington, D.C.

According to family members who received telephone calls from their loved ones who were among the 37 passengers (including the four hijackers) and 7 crew members including the captain and his first officer, the plane crash as a result of the hijackers grounding the plane to avoid be overtaken by the heroes in the sky.

In true American heroic fashion the passengers of Flight 93 ascended on the plane’s cockpit to remove the hijackers and take back control of the plane. It was these 33 American passengers and 7 crew members that saved this great country from another massive disaster.

Another tribute to heroic Americans will be embodied in an Oliver Stone film entitled World Trade Center starring Nicolas Cage, and Michael Peña. The film is based on the true story of two Port Authority police officers who were trapped in the rubble after trying to rescue 9/11 victims and who were eventually pulled to safety by other rescue personnel.

The dissension among Americans about our troops fighting in Iraq and the estimated 10,000 Americans who have abruptly refused to pay their income taxes because they are against the U.S. invasion of Iraq, saying that they “don’t want their money to be used for killing people and launching wars,” is extremely disturbing. Moreover, this apathetic attitude goes against the grain of everything that the United States has been built on.

These dissenting Americans should be kissing the ground that our military men and women walk on. It is because of these individuals putting their lives on the line that Americans are able to enjoy the freedom that this great country provides.

Hopefully, the Americans that have chosen to not pay their taxes could use some of that money to buy a one-way ticket to another country; anywhere, as long as their pathetic asses get out of the United States.

From everyone at Dropline.biz,

we wish all our troops, Godspeed.”
