Dropline was a Motion Picture and Television Industry trade publication that was created and published by Dino M. Zaffina in 1991.
Zaffina also wrote some of the magazine's stories and movie reviews. Due to the cost of the hardcopy publication, Dropline lasted only three issues.
Vowing to publish a successful magazine, Zaffina waited for the opportune time, which occurred after the Internet boom.
On July 5, 2004, Dropline was resurrected, but this time it was an online publication at www.dropline.biz. Dropline.biz ran for two years, disseminating forty-six issues
Dropline.biz started off the line slow, but gained steam very quickly when it became one of the most informative online publications. Dropline.biz not only provided a wealth of information, but it was an excellent database with just about every bit of information a person could need.
The online publication was biweekly. Before the end of the first year run, Dropline.biz was garnering over 1,000,000 unique hits for each issue.
